Poland has filed an application with the High Court of Dusseldorf about “active participation” in the Nord Stream 2 case. The proceedings are about exempting the project from the requirements of the EU Gas Directive updates.

The German subsidiary PGNiG also participates in the statement. Poland believes that “active participation in the proceedings” will make it possible to more “effectively” protect the interests of Polish enterprises, RIA Novosti writes.

Earlier NEWS.ru reported that the operator of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline construction project, Nord Stream 2 AG, has filed an appeal against the EU court's decision. The latter refused to consider the company's claim against the gas directive on the pipeline.
